
The parish of Our Lady of Lourdes warmly welcomes new members to any of the following groups:
Justice and Peace
The Justice and Peace group are committed to working against oppression and injustice both at home and abroad. The group meets monthly and work to highlight issues and raise awareness, organise events and raise funds. They link closely with other organisations including Lee Oasis, theLewisham Foodbank, Women at the Well, CSAN and Cafod.

St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP)
The SVP meet once every month in the Presbytery at 7:30 pm. The society offers practical assistance to those who are poor and in need. Their work also includes visiting the sick, the lonely, the addicted, the imprisoned and those suffering from disabilities.

Guild of St Stephen for Altar Servers
The Guild of St Stephen supports and encourages the highest standards of altar serving. Children may begin training once they have received their First Holy Communion.

Parish liturgy – music
We are always looking for volunteers to join our cantors / keyboard players who could join a rota to support sung Mass at all 3 Masses every weekend.

Children’s Liturgy
The Children’s Liturgy group supports the liturgy of the word for children at both Saturday 6:30 pm and Sunday 9:00 am Masses.


Prayer groups
There are 2 parish prayer groups. The prayer group meets at 2:00 pm every Wednesday in the parish hall and the Fathers prayers group meet every 1st Wednesday at 08:00 pm in the church.

Chorus of Our Lady of Lourdes Lee (COOLL)
The parish chorus. meet at 8:00 pm every Monday in the church. This is an un-auditioned singing group which is open to all. They sing a range of repertoire, putting on 3 concerts per year. Proceeds either go to funds or to support a charity of the Chorus’ choice.

Uniform groups
Beavers meet in the upper room every Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Cub scouts meet in the hall every Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Scouts meet in the hall every Tuesday from 7:45 to 9:15 pm
Brownies meet in the hall every Friday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Guides meet in the hall every Friday from 7:45 to 9:30 pm
Senior Section (Rangers) meet in the hall every Friday from 7:45 pm to 9:30 pm

Walking group
The walking group meets on a Saturday morning once every month. Details can be found in the newsletter. A range of walks, of varying degrees of difficulty, are undertaken in and around the local area.

Craft group
The craft group meet in the parish hall on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. There are opportunities to learn new skills and the group work towards making items to be sold at the summer afternoon tea event and the Christmas fair.

Church cleaning
The church cleaners meet every Tuesday at 8:00 am.
Please contact the parish priest if you are able to join the team.
Flower arranging
The flower arranging team work on a rota which is published in the newsletter. Flower arranging takes place on a Saturday morning.

200 club
The 200 club raises money for parish funds. There are 48 of £25 prizes and 4 of £100 each year. A number costs £15 and payment is due mid-October.

Parents and children are involved on these Saturdays and further activities occur on specific Sundays.
